Children's Bikes Bicycles and Tricycles


Riding a bike is a great way for any one to get exercise. This is especially true for children. Children's bicycles and tricycles are available in different sizes. The most common size for children's bicycles are 12 inch, 16 inch, and 20 inch.

One of the most important rules to have for bike riding is that everyone should wear a helmet. Many towns and cities in the United States and elsewhere have laws regarding the use of a helmet. It is very important that your child realize the importance of wearing a helmet when riding a bike. You can help by also wearing a helmet when you ride, set a good example for your children.

Children's Bicycle Safety Rules

Be sure your children understand your local laws regarding operating a bicycle. They should obey the traffic laws and shouldn't ride in a reckless manner. Follow the law and be very aware of automobile traffic, other cyclists and people walking. Also children should be aware of pets, wildlife and other obstacles and dangers in their path.

Many communities will have a bicycle safety class in the springtime. It is often given by local police and or fire departments. Check with them to find more information.
