Be sure there are no steps the child may tumble down. Outside make sure the area is safe, away from cars, bikes and high pedestrian traffic. Try to avoid steep hills. Supervise your child at all times. Also see Bikes, Scooters and Scooter Boards for additional selection of ride on toys.

Ride On Toys and Wagons are Great Exercise

Ride on toys are not only fun they are a great way to incorporate exercise in your child's day. Several varieties are available from the traditional red wagon to pedal powered cars. Of course more traditional styles of pedal cars and ride on toys are available.

Ride On Toys Develop Motor Skills

Ride on toys help develop gross motor skills and fine motor skills. Children work on coordination. They learn about cause and effect such as turning the wheel makes the car or toy go another way and pedaling faster makes the car go faster. If it has pedals your child will learn the skill of pedaling. Of course this is an excellent time to begin teaching bicycle safety rules.
